In short
This policy covers the Ancient Pulse app for iPhone ("the app") and the website at ancientpulsepro.life ("the website"). "We" and "us" mean the developer of Ancient Pulse.
What we collect
Nothing. The app does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information. It has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and it contains no third party analytics or advertising SDKs. The app's privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking domains.
The app does not ask for, read or use your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or any other protected data.
Data stored on your device
To work, the app keeps a small amount of data locally on your iPhone. We cannot see or access it.

This data is stored with Apple's on-device frameworks. It may be included in your device backups if you use iCloud Backup or computer backups; those backups are handled by Apple under your own settings and Apple's privacy policy.
You can delete it at any time: open Settings → Data → Erase archive in the app to remove saved cards, collections, reading history and quiz results, or delete the app to remove everything.
Network use
- Built-in content. Every event, place, person, knowledge card, quiz and discovery is bundled inside the app and works offline. Calendar readings are calculated on the device.
- Map tiles. The Atlas shows archaeological sites on Apple Maps. To draw the map, your device loads map tiles from Apple. These requests are made by Apple's MapKit and are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The app only places the fixed coordinates of the sites on the map; it does not request or show your location.
- Connection status. The app checks on the device whether a network connection is available, only to explain when map tiles cannot load. No data is sent for this.
Links to other sites
Some source notes link to outside websites, such as UNESCO World Heritage pages or the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia. Opening a link takes you to that site in your browser, where its own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the practices of other sites.
Apple services
The app is distributed through the App Store. Apple may collect information about downloads and purchases under its own policies. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated crash reports and usage statistics. We use these only to fix problems and improve the app, and we cannot identify you from them.
Children
Ancient Pulse is an educational app suitable for a general audience. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).
This website
- No cookies, no analytics. The website does not set cookies, does not use browser storage and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.
- Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, date and time, and the page requested) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
- Contact form. The form on the home page does not send or store anything: it only shows a confirmation in your browser. To reach us, please email us.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and delete it when it is no longer needed. We never share it.
- Calendar widget. The live Maya and Aztec readings on the home page are calculated in your browser. The dates you pick are not sent anywhere.
Your choices and rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the app, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on our side. Your data lives on your device and is under your control. If you have contacted us by email and want that correspondence deleted, write to us and we will do so. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA may give you additional rights; you can exercise them by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
If the app or the website changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
